I grew up in southern California in a little town called Canyon Lake. Like so many others I came to SLO for school and stayed for the love of the county and a boy. I got my love of animals from my parents and started in the animal field at a little cat shelter in Newport Beach. From there I went to vet clinics, county shelters, wildlife rescues here and in Thailand, emergency vet clinics, mobile vet clinics and then finally wound up in our happy little clinic. In our facility you can find me all over the place, working with the pets, helping clients, cleaning or doing whatever else needs to be done. I live in Cayucos with my boyfriend Zac, our Queensland/Aussie mix Sydney, and our two kitties Jacob and Baker. Baker got her name because she is always purring and kneading which I call “makin biscuits”. We spend most of our time going to the beach, camping, hiking and hanging with our pets.
I was born and raised in SLO county. I grew up in Los Osos where I was involved in 4-H and FFA for over ten (10!!) years. That is where my love of animals began. It wasn’t until my early 20’s that i started my career in the veterinary field as a receptionist. My curiosity to the medicine involved in treatment and my persistence to want to learn everything about veterinary medicine landed me a position as technician in training. From there my knowledge grew along with my passion for veterinary medicine.
I am one of the technicians here at Cambria Veterinary Clinic. I am currently enrolled in school to get my bachelors degree in animal science and become a registered veterinary technician. As a technician my duties include preparing the animals for surgical procedures, anesthetic monitoring, nursing sick pets, nail trims, ear cleanings and so much more!
I have quite the menagerie of pets at home. Our furry family includes Ziggy the Queensland Healer, Lola Godiva the Chi-weenie, Walter McSniffles the Boston Terrier, Mia Bella my old Tabby, Wilbur the Manx, Yoda the Tabby kitten and finally, Medusa the Bearded Dragon. My non furry family includes my husband Rob, my son Xander and our 1 year old daughter Emma. We love taking local road trips on weekends to places like San Simeon, Avila Beach and other local hot spots. We also like to travel to other places around California like Yosemite and South Lake Tahoe.
I was born and raised on raised on the Central Coast. I live in North County with my parents and my two Cardigan Welsh Corgis, a pitbull, and our cat. I have been showing my Cardigans in American Kennel Club dog shows since I was 12 years old. I have had the privilege of presenting dozens of different breeds, from Irish Wolfhounds to Miniature Pinschers. I’ve traveled all over the country for dog shows, including New York for the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club. My older Cardigan, Linus, is a Bronze level Grand Champion, and my younger girl Dorothy obtained her Champion title at under a year old. I plan to continue showing dogs for the rest of my life. I also have my license to judge all-breed Junior Showmanship at dog shows. I currently attend Cuesta College, with plans to transfer to a four-year university.
I grew up in the Central Valley in a small town called Glenville. As a child I always knew I wanted to work helping animals. I was part of the county 4-H for 9 years showing pigs. I loved riding horses with my grandma and taming feral cats on the ranch as a kid. I now live in San Luis Obispo with my sister Chelsea. We have three cats (Loafie, Bagheera and our most recent HART adoptee Fancy) and one dog, Leeloo, a boxer/pit mix. We spend most of our time in nature exploring with Leeloo. My interest in working in a veterinary office started as a kennel assistant, from there I learned how to help during treatments, etc. I love being the face of the front office because I get to meet and greet all of our wonderful patients and clients. I couldn't be happier to be part of the Cambria Vet Clinic team!
